About Ramones
Early, early punk band the Ramones played music that was stripped down in a decade that was rich with rich sounding bands and complex arrangements. The Ramones were influenced by 50s and 60s bands, including primarily the Beatles, whose haircuts even the band imitated. It is rare to find a solo guitar played by Joey Ramone as the band altogether disliked the style of virtuosic music playing.
